Fr. Raymund Victor Acuña, the Judicial Vicar of the Diocese of Tarlac, died on Thursday. He was 35-years-old.

In a brief statement, the diocese said the priest who is also the senior parochial vicar of San Sebastian Cathedral “was found lifeless” in his room this afternoon.

“Let us pray for the eternal repose of his soul. Let us also pray for his family,” the diocese said.

Born in Bulacan province’s Hagonoy town, Acuña finished his theological studies at San Carlos Seminary in Makati City.

In 2014, he was ordained a priest for the Tarlac diocese.

A few years after his ordination, he studied in Spain where he obtained his Licentiate Degree in Canon Law at the Universidad de Navarra.

The priest also previously served as Tarlac Diocesan Youth Director.

His funeral Mass is scheduled at 9:00 a.m. on October 20 at the Tarlac Cathedral. He will be interred at Good Shepherd Cemetery located inside the Our Lady of Peace College Seminary compound.
