A seminar series on Basic Ecclesial Communities (BECs) will be launched in Manila next week.
With the theme “BECs in Synodality with Basic Human Communities,” the first of the series will be held at the Arzopispado de Manila in Intramuros on June 16.
Organizers said the topics include talks on the “BEC, synodality, and the local Church”.
The seminar is organized by the CBCP Episcopal Commission on BEC, the Probinsya Eklesiastikal ng Maynila (Southwest Luzon Region), and the Archdiocese of Manila’s Ministry on BEC Formation and Promotion.
Speakers include Bishop Ronald Lunas of Pagadian, chairperson of CBCP-BEC, and Dr. Estela Padilla, CBCP-BEC consultant and director of Bukal ng Tipan.
Organizers said the seminar will also be streamed live on the CBCP-BEC Facebook page and other diocesan Facebook pages.
Dioceses and parishes across the country have just celebrated the 5th Basic Ecclesial Communities (BEC) Sunday on June 4.
The CBCP in July 2018 declared that every Trinity Sunday will also be observed as BEC Sunday.
